1. How does Pölöskei '2in1' syrup differ from other syrups and syrups available in the shops?

The Pölöskei ‘2in1’ syrup was developed specifically for HORECA purposes, which differs in several components from the syrups currently available on the market. It is important that the slush base, diluted in a 1:3 ratio, achieves a suitable ice crystal structure in the machines developed for this purpose, and also carries the expected flavour and aroma characteristics in frozen state. When diluted at a ratio of 1:7, all the characteristics of the lemonade base (fruitiness, citrusiness, sweetness factor) must also be present in the finished product in the correct proportions. These are not or only partially met by the currently available syrups.

2. What makes this product more economical for a catering establishment?

First of all, it is perfectly suited to a number of uses. If, at the end of the season, there is leftover slush syrup, it will have to be discarded, as has been the practice up to now. The Pölöskei ‘2in1’ syrup can be used as a slush and lemonade base at the same time, saving businesses money, time and space.

3. Is the current assortment stable or will it change over time?

The current assortment will be updated every year according to consumption habits, but the basic flavours such as lemon, raspberry, strawberry will always be available.

4. Does Pölöskei '2in1' syrup need any additives, additional products such as sugar, citric acid, extracts?

No, no additives are needed, only water. Our main goal was to create a product that can be used as easily as possible by the gastronomic units. The slush and lemonade base gives catering outlets the opportunity to add decorative elements to the drink they want to serve according to the standard of our business, but it is up to their own decision.

5. How to prepare the slush base?

The Pölöskei ‘2in1’ syrup is diluted with water in a 1:3 ratio, and the freezing process can begin by pouring it into the slush machine. Example: mix 2 litres of ‘2in1’ syrup with 6 litres of water to make 8 litres of slush base.

6. If I have leftover slush base, can I use it for lemonade?

Yes, but then you have to recalculate the dilution ratios. Example: if you have 4 litres of slush base left, you will need 4 litres of water to maintain the 1:7 ratio (4 litres of slush base contains 1 litre of Pölöskei ‘2in1’ syrup and 3 litres of water, so you only need to add 4 litres of water to achieve the optimal 1:7 mixing ratio).

7. Can you provide the tools to make the slush?

No, we do not rent or sell machinery.

8. Does the slush machine have a beverage chiller function, can I serve lemonade base from it?

Yes, it can be done side by side, making slush in one container and cooling lemonade in the other, even in the same flavours.

9. How does this product fit into existing infrastructure?

During the development of Pölöskei ‘2in1’ syrup, it was a priority to make it compatible with existing machines (slsuh machines, beverage dispensers – post-mix…). We also took into account the needs of the catering industry when packaging/presentation, so our product is available in 10 litre EU stackable jugs with a spigot. This is an optimal solution for storage and waste management, dispensing and connection to various machines.

10. How much slush or lemonade can be made from a 10 litre Pölöskei '2in1' syrup?

A 1:3 mixing ratio will make 40 litres of slush and a 1:7 mixing ratio will make 80 litres of lemonade.

11. Are the 10 litre cans subject to a roll-over charge, are they returnable?

Yes, they are returnable. We want to reduce our environmental impact and help businesses manage waste, which is why we have chosen this packaging for our products.

12. Is Diabetic Pölöskei '2in1' syrup also available?

Unfortunately, this is not possible at the moment, as some kind of sugar derivative is needed to crystallise the slush. However, Pölöskei Diab has a wide range of products, from which you will certainly find the right one for you.

13. How healthy is the Pölöskei '2in1' syrup range?

During product development, we paid special attention to making Pölöskei ‘2in1’ syrups from quality fruit with as little added sugar as possible.

14. Are there any other HORECA products from Pölöskei expected in the near future?

The Pölöskei ‘2in1’ syrup was perfected and tested for three years before it became a marketable product. Anything is possible, and nothing is ruled out, but the most important thing is that it is compatible with our basic philosophy and that we only start something new after thorough preparation.
